Upon learning this, you decide to defeat him along with his army.

III. Path of Exlite Gameplay

1. Gameplay

Players choose from 7 characters (explained below). Collect resources such as gold, weapons, armor to upgrade your strength and unlock new levels. You can complete quests alone or invite friends to play together. There are countless ways to upgrade your strength, so you can customize your experience.

2. Game Modes:

Normal and Nightmare. In Nightmare mode, if you die just once, your character will be sent back to Standard.

There are also events organized by the game publisher, mainly races. Racing here means competing to see who completes the game in the fastest time set by the game publisher, and the winner receives special equipment. The organizer creates a server specifically for the event, announced to players a few hours in advance for preparation.

3. Missions

The player’s mission is to survive and kill as many enemies as possible in each level to obtain abundant resources. Killing more enemies will grant you more experience points, increasing your character level and unlocking new levels.

4. Characters

Players can choose from seven available classes (Duelist, Marauder, Ranger, Scion, Shadow, Templar, and Witch). Each class has strengths in one or two of the three core attributes: Strength, Dexterity, or Intelligence. An exception is Scion, a new character unlocked later, combining all three types of strength.

Duelist: A warrior combining both Strength and Dexterity attributes. Marauder: A pirate-like character with high basic damage and good physical damage resistance with heavy armor. Ranger: An agile and flexible character with a preference for long-range weapons. Wearing light armor increases the ability to dodge attacks from agile creatures. Suitable for fighting agile creatures with good evasion, hard to hit, often attacking from a distance, and multi-target attacks. Scion: A hybrid character with both strength and magic powers and good endurance. Shadow: A character combining both Dexterity and Intelligence attributes. Templar: A character combining both Intelligence and Strength attributes. Witch: A sorceress character with a high Intelligence stat. With advantages in mystical spells and deadly combat techniques, the witch carries weapons that increase the ability to perform precise attacks. The witch’s fabric armor can create an energy shield protecting against damage and can regenerate if the witch is not in combat. Suitable for fighting creatures with intelligence attributes having dangerous magical spells if not quickly eliminated.

5. Skill System

Skill System: This can be considered the most complicated part of the game. The same skill tree, but each character has a different starting point. For example, Ranger starts at the bottom right corner, Scion starts in the middle, or Templar starts at the top left corner.

The most special thing about Path of Exile’s skill system is that all skills are passive skills. In addition, each character also has a special skill symbolizing each character class, and you can only have a maximum of 8 points for each class. There are 3 types of special skills (except Scion, which has only 1), and you can choose only one, and each ascendancy skill has at least about 12-13 slots when you only have 8 points.

To obtain special skills, you must go through mazes full of traps and powerful monsters. Beware! Once you’ve allocated points, it’s challenging to reset them, and even if you can reset them, you can only reset a few points, not all of them as in Grim Dawn. So if you allocate points incorrectly and weaken your character, the only option is to start a new character.

6. Skill Gems

If there are passive skills, there must be active skills. Active skills can only be obtained when you own skill gems.

Skill gems have 3 types:

Red: A type for melee weapons such as swords, hammers, etc. Green: Specialized in ranged weapons like bows. Blue: Specialized for spellcasters.

Skill gems also have support gems. These gems can be inserted into your equipment such as weapons, helmets, armor, shoes, etc. The slots for these gems are called sockets. For gloves, helmets, shoes, the maximum number of sockets is 4, armor is 6, 2-handed weapons are 6, 1-handed weapons are 3, rings and necklaces are 1.

Sockets are linked to each other so that gems can support each other better, and not all sockets in one piece of equipment can be linked. For example, your armor has 6 sockets, but only 4 sockets are linked together. If you insert gems, only a maximum of 4 gems can be coordinated.

Sockets also have 3 colors: red, green, blue. Red gems can only be inserted into red sockets, and the same goes for the other two types. In addition, there are flasks that you can carry a maximum of 5. Each flask contains a certain amount of health, energy, or specific uses.

For example, a flask containing 5k health means you can only use it within that range, meaning you are only allowed to lose 5k health due to enemy attacks. However, flasks can only be restored when you defeat monsters.

7. Currency System

A novel thing in this game is the currency system. The currency system in the game is not as simple as other RPGs. The game does not use gold, money, or metals but uses Crafting Currencies as the currency exchange system. Crafting currencies can be used for equipment to improve, transform the characteristics of equipment, or exchange with NPCs for other items, even with other players.

For example, if you have crafting currencies A, B, C, D, the equipment you want to exchange costs 2 A, or 1 B, or 1 A, and 1 C. However, there are extremely rare currencies with a drop rate of only about 0.001%, so it’s advisable to save them rather than waste them on your items.

8. New Features

Another new thing is the Atlas and Masters system. The Atlas is your own created hideout where you can decorate and create equipment. Here, you will invite Masters to your hideout, which are NPCs you will encounter during the game.

There are a total of 8 Masters specializing in different fields, such as Haku, Armourmaster specializing in creating armor, hats, shoes, Vagan, Weaponmaster specializing in weapon crafting, Vorici, Master Assassin, specializing in sockets, etc.

Initially, when you create a Hideout, you can only invite 2 people. After that, you need to build a friendly relationship with the Masters to level up and buy a larger territory, inviting more Masters. You can invite a maximum of 7 Masters to your territory.

9. Note

Not many Vietnamese players know about this game simply because they block the VN IP. To see and download this game, you need to change your IP. After downloading, you can turn off the VPN to play without lag because this game has no offline mechanism. The game can only be played online, so it can be annoying if you lose your connection.

You can only see other players when you are in the area called the ‘town,’ the area where there are NPCs selling items. When fighting monsters, each player will be put into a completely different dungeon unless you team up, then you can go together.

The game really takes a lot of time to farm good items, monsters are strong, and leveling is extremely slow, especially when you are at level 80 with a complex skill system. In summary, this game is extremely challenging. However, in return, this game is a farmer’s paradise. So you can enjoy the game comfortably; if you don’t like it, just delete it. Recharging money can only buy beautiful items. But overall, I’m sure those who love RPGs will really enjoy it.

IV. Graphics and Sound

Graphics: If you are new and look at the game’s homepage, you might think this game has outdated graphics. However, once you start playing, you’ll have a different opinion. The graphics in the game are beautiful, and the movement of characters and NPCs is smooth. The weapon and armor shine effects, as well as the blood splatter effect when enemies are hit, are very realistic.

Sound: Very well done, suitable for different moments such as gentle music when entering a new game interface. Intense music when fighting enemies, more intense when fighting bosses or weak enemies. The sound of metal clashing during combat, the sound of items dropping when opening chests during gameplay, is also very realistic.
